MELODY MENNITEA life on stage.
A voice of her own.
A choreographer’s imagination.
A dancer’s understanding.
Melody Mennite’s creative practice grows from an extensive performing career with Houston Ballet, where she rose from apprentice to principal dancer in 2008. That experience informs a choreographic voice grounded in musicality, storytelling, and emotional honesty.
Her repertoire spans professional ballet companies, festivals, chamber music collaborations, film, and independent projects. She has created work for Houston Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Ballet Arkansas, AVID, and Cincinnati Ballet, among others.
In the studio, her work places the artist at the center of the process: curiosity, collaboration, and the freedom to bring an individual voice into a shared creation.
Her performing repertoire includes Giselle, Juliet, Manon, and roles created on her by Stanton Welch and Justin Peck.
Explore her performing career“Melody’s dedication to AVID, her generosity as an artist, and her fearless creativity make this collaboration especially meaningful.”
